Clara Luisa Hajje

June 21, 1931 ~ June 3, 2019 (age 87)

Clara Luisa Hajje passed away peacefully on June 3rd at Trinitas Regional Medical center. Clara was a resident of Elizabeth Since coming to America from Cuba where she was born in Bayamo, Oriente in 1931. She was a teachers aide for the Elizabeth Board of Education for 15 years until her retirement in 1978. Clara was a very active member of St. Michaels Holy Rosary R. C. Church Parrish in Elizabeth. She Founded the Spanish Mass of St. Michaels in January of 1971, Helped to organize the Catechism of the Spanish Children of St. Michaels, and started the Saturday classes of Spanish and Geography for the children of the Parrish. Clara also served as a Lector for the church and sang in the Spanish Choir . Clara also worked for Avon Cosmetics as a sales representative for 35 yrs. retiring with Honors from the company  . Clara was predeceased by her husband Angel Antonio Hajje Sr. and survived by her children Clara Maria Hajje, Rebecca Luisa Hajje and Angel Antonio Hajje Jr.  Funeral mass will be held Monday June 10 at 10am in St. Michaels Holy Rosary R.C. Church in Elizabeth and Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery Mausoleum in Colonia. Viewing will be held at the Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home on Sunday June 9 from 4 to 8pm In Lieu of flowers donations in her name can be made to the Diabetes Foundation, The American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association
